As a mobile vehicle technician We can undertake most jobs done in a fixed workshop or garage. However, being mobile does have some limitations.
If the motorhome parking area is of soft grass, gravel or soil etc then that is no problem to us. We carry heavy duty steel plates for the axle stands and jack to rest on. Even if you have a tarmac drive we will place the plates down to protect your driveway.
All parts used are of high quality OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts. What this means is that vehicle manufacturer doesn't always use their own parts. For example Mann filters may manufacture filters for Volvo so the Volvo filter has the branding of Volvo and Mann.

The timing belt is also called a cam belt or toothed belt. It is the connection between the crankshaft and camshaft. The timing belt keeps correct timing between these two shafts. This timing is critical because if it is lost (due to cam belt or bearing failure) the pistons will hit the valves resulting in expensive damage to the engine. This is why the vehicle manufacturer issues guidance for replacement intervals. Even if your motorhome has low mileage the rubber that the belt is made of will deteriorate.

Timing belts are normally replaced as a kit which includes the belt, tensioner, idler and any stretch bolts or studs that may need replacing. Often the water pump is driven by the cambelt so that if the water pump bearing ever failed it would cause the timing belt to also fail therefore causing serious damage to the engine. It is for this reason I often recommend replacing the water pump along with the timing belt kit.
All parts used are of high quality OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts. Manufacturers dont make their own timing belts, other companies like INA, Dayco or Gates make them.
